God’s desire to save all men is revealed in His plan of salvation found in His word. This lesson notes how we must hear that plan, understand it, accept it, and act. We are not saved simply because God wants it and sent His Son to die for us. We must follow His plan to receive the benefits of the blood of Jesus.
God called Abram out of Ur of the Chaldeas. This ancient city was well advanced in science, math, art, engineering, and much more. Yet, Abram obeyed God and left to travel to Haran and eventually to Canaan, a relatively primitive land. Once Abram arrived in Canaan, however, he faced a famine and fled to Egypt. We discuss his faith and travels, as well as reasons for God working in this way.
