History and Geography of The Bible (14): Divided Kingdom (1)
This study on the history and geography of the Bible looks at Solomon’s downfall and the consequent division of the kingdom when Rehoboam came to the throne. We note toxic marriages that violated God’s law that led Solomon into idolatry. We also look at Rehoboam’s actions and attitude toward the people, as well as Jeroboam’s faithlessness and foolish decision to establish a new religion in the Northern Kingdom of Israel.
