Romans (6b): chapter 5:6-21

Why would Christ die for the ungodly rather than for people who deserved it? In this study of Romans 5:6–21, we look at the stunning nature of God's love — demonstrated not toward the righteous or the "good," but toward helpless sinners. We walk through the powerful progression from justification to reconciliation to salvation by Christ's life, and then we turn to one of the richest contrasts in all of Paul's writing: Adam versus Christ. Where Adam brought sin, death, and condemnation, Christ brought grace, righteousness, and eternal life. The law exposed the problem; grace provided the answer.
