Romans (7b): chapter 6:5-23
If God's grace covers our sin, does that mean we're free to keep sinning? Paul's answer is emphatic — absolutely not. In this study of Romans 6, we walk through two powerful arguments Paul makes against continuing in sin: it's illogical, and it carries serious consequences. The first part of this lesson takes a look at what the Bible really teaches about baptism — not as a mere ritual, but as a burial and resurrection with Christ that marks the beginning of a new life (NOTE: the in-depth of study of Romans 6:1-4 was not recorded. Reach out for more info). Paul then drives the point home with a sobering question every Christian must face: who is your master? Because everyone is a slave to something — either to sin, which pays the wages of death, or to righteousness, which leads to the free gift of eternal life in Christ.
