CloseIn this second part of our study, we examine how attempts to suppress corruption through creeds and councils often produced new errors — from the Nicene Creed in 325 AD to the Second Council of Nicaea establishing the worship of images in 787. We then work through the major doctrinal departures of Roman Catholicism: the seven sacraments, the blasphemous exaltation of priests as mediators and sacrificers, the unbiblical teaching of mandatory celibacy, the idolatrous veneration of Mary, prayers offered to dead saints, and the Catholic division of sin into mortal and venial categories. Each error is measured against what the Scriptures actually teach.
