What To Expect

A warm welcome

The members of the congregation love to meet visitors and warmly welcome them to our assemblies. You can expect to be greeted with kindness and genuine interest.

“Let all things be done decently and in order”
- 1 Corinthians 14:40

Bible Classes

In our main auditorium class, we study various books of the Bible and topics from a biblical perspective. The studies are orderly, but open to discussion. Questions are asked by the teacher and answers from multiple people is common.

Worship Services

Our worship assemblies are reverent and orderly. We are aware that as we gather we are in the presence of God and must show the respect due Him. During our Sunday service we follow the New Testament teaching and examples regarding worship that include:

  • Prayer (Acts 2:42; 1 Timothy 2:1-8)
  • Singing (Colossians 3:16; Ephesians 5:19)
  • The Lord’s Supper (1 Corinthians 11:23-26; Acts 20:7)
  • Collection from Members (1 Corinthians 16:1, 2)
  • Teaching (Acts 20:7; 2 Timothy 4:1-5)

For some people visiting one of our services will feel like going back to “old times” or what their grandparents did. In other words, it will feel like “church” used to be, not a modern-day entertainment production akin to a rock concert.

If you want to get back to the Bible, dig in to Scripture with us, learn and grow in the grace and knowledge of the Lord, then you will feel at home with us (2 Peter 3:18).

Members of One Another (8): Admonish One Another

Nobody enjoys being corrected — and most of us find it just as hard to be the one doing the correcting. In this study from our Members of One Another series, we look at what the New Testament actually asks of us when it says to "admonish one another." From Romans 15:14 we learn the two qualities that make someone able to admonish, and from 2 Thessalonians 3 we walk through Paul's detailed teaching on how the church should respond to disorderly conduct. We'll also consider biblical examples of admonition — from God's warning to Cain, to Paul confronting Peter, to Elijah standing before Ahab — and discuss why love and the desire to save a soul should motivate us to speak up even when it's uncomfortable.
