The New Testament reveals there is specific work that a local church is to do, including teaching the lost (Mark 16:15, 16; 1 Thessalonians 1:6-10). This is one of only three works outlined in the Bible for a congregation to do and is essential for the life and health of not only the local church, but also the cause of Christ.
