The church at Thessalonica was blessed to receive two letters from Paul. His love for the brethren there is apparent and the teaching he provided them still benefits us today. One of the reasons Paul loved them is because they were steadfast in the face of persecution. The church began in the midst of conflict which meant those who became Christians were truly convicted. This lesson looks mainly at the beginning of the church in Thessalonica found in Acts 17.
