Ruth (1): To Moab and Back

The book of Ruth is set in the days of the judges (Ruth 1:1). It was toward the end of the judges when evil was widespread; each did what was right in his own eyes (Judges 21:25). The book serves as a bridge between this time and the days of the kings of Israel. It also shows there were people of faith in the midst of a wicked culture. Mostly, though, Ruth is a display of God working through ordinary people to bring about His plan of redemption. https://lawofthelord.com
