The Road To Emmaus

“The Road to Emmaus” narrative is one of the early resurrection appearances of Jesus after His crucifixion and the discovery of the empty tomb. In this lesson, we read the passage and discuss prophecy (specifically, Messianic prophecy) to see how incredible our God is. Jesus Christ fulfilled the Messianic prophecies foretold by the Old Testament authors with completion and perfection. Study these prophecies yourself and consider the possibility of just one person fulfilling even a few of these specific prophecies. Ultimately, Luke 24 shows us more about how we understand Christ – through the Scriptures and through fellowship with Him. How do we discern the risen Christ?
