Humanist-secularism has attacked the Church because it sees it as an obstacle to its agenda. The Bible presents that Church as not just valuable to the Lord and His people, but essential. After all, Christ died for the Church (Eph. 5:25). Since He is the head of the Church, all who are members live under His authority, something the humanists cannot tolerate.
