History and Geography of the Bible (3): Beginnings (part 2) | Genesis 11-12

God called Abram out of Ur of the Chaldeas. This ancient city was well advanced in science, math, art, engineering, and much more. Yet, Abram obeyed God and left to travel to Haran and eventually to Canaan, a relatively primitive land. Once Abram arrived in Canaan, however, he faced a famine and fled to Egypt. We discuss his faith and travels, as well as reasons for God working in this way.

Scripture References: Genesis 12:1-10
